The bottom line is that criminal law needs to butt out of the cinema and home entertainment industries. If consenting participants in film productions emerge unharmed from the production process then the resulting films would meet a revised forward-looking minimum legal threshold in future.

This helped them practice their writing skills over the summer break as well as made a great memento after we were back home. Audio books: I saved the best for last. Audio books are the secret to this mama’s sanity. I love to read and I find it really hard to find the time to fit in a good book when the kids are in school. n a road trip a good audio book will make the hours and miles fly.

Here in Rhode Island they have decided to sell their home in Charlestown and build a smaller house in Jamestown. The Charlestown house is reached via a long gravel driveway that extends off King Tom Drive named for Niantic Indian chief Thomas Ninigret. The house is a low cedar-shingled structure with gables poking out of the second floor. There are glass panels surrounding the front door which leads into a tall foyer filled with light from the large window set above the doorway.

For example the RBDS data stream many stations already provide has grown in significance recently with newer devices displaying text in graphical form some even showing multiple fields simultaneously and even offering music tagging. Some of this same data is also used for “now playing” information on station Web sites. In this respect broadcasters are already providing backwards-compatible “hierarchical” content that is displayed on advanced devices (in multiple forms) and ignored by legacy systems. IBC provides a similar approach with analog and HD1 channels sharing content and multicast services appearing only on new devices. This important trend is fundamental to the viable growth and future success of radio’s technical infrastructure.

Just because the programs data and information are sent through cables does not change the fact that they are bound by the same laws and restrictions put upon television and radio companies broadcasting freely into the atmosphere. The industry has grown large enough and is profitable enough for any reasonable person to contend that it is time for it to be regulated by common sense regulations reflect human values when possible and fulfill the broader demand of television — it should when possible “instruct and inform. ” At this time cable television has not only avoided providing competent instruction and meaningful information it continues to disseminate wrong and incomplete instruction to the point of lying by omission or intent and is proliferating misinformation at an alarming rate. Rather than the horrors portrayed by George rwell in “1984” emanating from the government in this case the web of lies deceit and ignorance being weaved is being produced by the American “entertainment” industry — and at a hefty profit. ur media industry — in radio television newspapers and magazines — now produces the lowest cost product for the highest return.
