The iPhone is like a modern-day art cart full of apps that let you write make music take photos paint or create interactive stories. These apps let you conjure your own grown-up version of a well-stocked art cart with just a tap of the screen. The problem is for a show with so little time to tell an epic story it takes its sweet time to unfold. Unlike most shows on television episodes of ‘Dollhouse’ run six minutes longer with minimal commercial interruption but even that doesn’t appear to be enough. Mid-run I had grown tired of this show which was promoted as action oriented but played like a drama. The characters were solid and Dushku showcased her talents as an actress by playing a different personality every week but I cared little where everyone’s lives were headed.
