There is one major threat and it uses children as its vehicle to try and conquer the world. Along the way we get to see more the developing story between the characters we get to meet Jack’s daughter and the team is on the run for most of the miniseries. iF: So is the main villain an alien then or something more home-grown? DAVID-LLYD: The main culprit is an alien race. The “456” [what the series calls the race by classification]. That would mean he’s in the bigs in 2013 as a best case scenario barring injuries etc. And he’d still only be 21. And yeah he’s going to need some time in the minors for no other reason to learn how to call a game and hit “grown up” pitching. And for a bit of perspective there 21 position players on the 40-man roster. I would be shocked if 6 of them are still on that same roster for the 2013 season. Those astronauts were Eugene Cernan and Harrison Schmitt for the record. From 1975 until 1981 America put no one in orbit. Since then the only manned space missions to captivate the nation were the disasters: the Challenger liftoff and the Columbia disintegration. We pretend a communication network like Twitter is a technological breakthrough when 40 years ago we transmitted live pictures and audio from the moon.
