Some begin preparing lunch others pump water for the laundry and the farmers work the land. Millet corn and peanuts are the staple crops of the Samogho village. Cotton ginger and vegetables are grown as supplementary produce. “About 85 percent of the village’s income is based on agriculture” Price said. “Families also raise chickens goats sheep and cows. Price doesn’t sit by and watch the villagers as they work. “I’m right there beside them” she said.

Although reminiscent of the original series the 11 new videos focus on the environmental messages of the 21st century especially global warming and reducing our carbon footprint. "Don’t be a Carbon Sasquatch" gives simple examples of how an average person can reduce his or her carbon emissions including buying locally grown food and walking or biking instead of driving. Some of the highlights include the music video about the rainforest that is done in a creative style reminiscent of watercolors and "Tiny Urban Zoo" which has a catchy upbeat tune. The GoodiesThere is really nothing on this disc that I would consider a goody however Disney does hype the inclusion of a music video by Mitchel Musso (of Hannah Montana and Phineas and Ferb fame) as one goody along with the digitally remastered version of the classic School House Rock song "The Energy Blues. " Neither item is particularly special in my opinion although the inclusion of the classic tune was a nice nod to the past. It was interesting to see how a similar issue of energy use and conservation was dealt with approximately 25 years ago when the short first debuted on ABC Saturday morning television.

We know that a sausage with almost no meat in it is paradoxically delicious. And we know that proper chocolate is meant to be milky sweet and packed with E-numbers. It is patently ludicrous to suggest that our home-grown confectionery is inferior to the continental variety. If posh foreign chocolate is so great then how come there isn’t an obesity epidemic in Europe? Exactly. That dark bitter stuff – you can take it or leave it. ur own is irresistible as the plumpness of our nation shows. *Prince Emmanuel Filiberto is this year’s winner of the Italian version of Strictly Come Dancing.

I originally saw this movie at a university theater in college before I had any idea of the joys high-def would bring. I have since watched it on VHS and DVD and can easily say this Blu-ray is the best this has ever looked (and most likely ever to look on home video). Criterion has done a commendable job with this transfer removing virtually all print damage though there are a few shots later in the film that have a scratch or something equivalent at the bottom of the screen. Still this is a minor complaint and I am amazed at how the film looks in high-def.
