Moores says farm must be cultivated
San Diego Union Tribune – Apr 13, 2007

The farm system hasn't been shabby this decade, producing major leaguers Peavy, Khalil Greene, Josh Barfield, Oliver Perez and Xavier Nady. Capitalizing on other clubs' fascination with high radar-gun clockings, Towers was able to use other minor leaguers to make critical trades such as the August deal that brought Russell Branyan. But Moores wants better results on the home-grown front. “This has not been an organization that has drafted well,” he said. “The thing that's kept us in the hunt the last bunch of years has been Kevin – Kevin's baseball judgment has been terrific. I say it will look even better 10 years from now when people might look back and say, 'How did he do that?'

“But that's no way to run a railroad. You can't depend on trading futures.

She said lawmakers “have an approach that says that America’s farmers will fuel America’s energy independence. We will send our energy dollars not to the Middle East, but to.

Well, it’s not a particularly difficult decision. “One London clinic told me off the record that it had taken more than 100 patients to a Ukrainian clinic over the past year, with a 25% pregnancy success rate in women over 35 and “some post-menopausal women” (they declined to give figures for live births).

Pakistan behind pro-Taliban tribesmen
Telegraph.co.uk – Apr 13, 2007
The government said tribesmen were sick of the Uzbeks’ criminal activities and interference. A tribal council declared jihad against the Uzbeks and a tribal force, was despatched to deal with them. “It is a home-grown affair, it is picking up momentum,” said Maj Gen Mohammad. “We are very sure that if people don’t want foreigners, how can they stay here?” But the alliances of both sides are more intricately woven than the government has admitted. It appears that since last year a number of feuds erupted between a faction of the tribesmen and the Uzbeks. An Arab who was reportedly a key member of al-Qa’eda and who worked under the protection of Mullah nazir’s faction, was murdered by Uzbeks.
