Crash Suspect Had Feb. Charge
Washington Post – Nov 30, 2006
This horrible tragedy occurs far too often in our country and its time we dont allow ONE MORE DEATH at the hands of an illegal alien. We have far too many of our own home-grown criminals, the last thing we need to do is accept, retain, or import one more criminal illegal alien. How many more citizens have to be victimized at the hands of illegal aliens before the people in the state of Maryland start demanding that elected officials place the safety, health and welfare of law-abiding citizens and legal residents above those of illegal aliens, their employers and all the profiteers of illegal immigration including places like Casa of Maryland. Caborn to be quizzed by League
Telegraph.co.uk – Nov 30, 2006
The Daily Telegraph has learnt that at a meeting of the 20 Premiership clubs two weeks ago, chairmen voiced their concern at the way Caborn was backing the Independent Sport Review by former Portuguese government minister Jose Luis Arnaut even though they believe the review is a threat to the Premier League’s interests. They are understood to have put the Premier League’s chairman, Sir David Richards, a close personal friend and ally of Caborn, under intense pressure to persuade the Sheffield MP to change his stance. The Premier League oppose the report fearing it is an attempt by Uefa to seize power from domestic European leagues and arguing that proposals for new rules such as a salary cap and home-grown player quotas are unworkable. Behind the scenes, however, Premier League officials have been working hard to isolate the sports minister in secret negotiations with advisers to Prime Minister Tony Blair and the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Gordon Brown.

How Qiao Wenlan brought her Chinese family ‘home’
Jerusalem Post – Nov 30, 2006
They talked about coming to Israel but didn’t know how it could be done. Once he came back from Russia, he dropped the idea – so much so that his family in China knew little about his heritage. But a friend, who works at a university near the family’s home in Qingdau, knew enough that she mentioned Zhu’s origins to an Israeli professor working with her. “He said if you want [to go to Israel], I will help you, because the Jews have a duty to help other Jews,” Qiao related. He also told them that every Jew had the right to become an Israeli citizen. Qiao was “excited” to find out about her connection to Judaism. “Jewish people are very famous [and] wise… Zhu also acknowledged it had been difficult making such a move, especially trying to learn a new language. But he said he didn’t want his descendants to remain ignorant as he had been, and that that had been his motivation for making aliya, rather than a desire for their material betterment. He also has family here, as the son of his sister who had grown up in Russia made aliya five years ago. “I want to find my roots. Also, my children have grown up and I want them to study Hebrew,” he said. Now what’s foreign isn’t Jewish food, but the Chinese tea leaves and porcelain tea set which they brought with them from Qingdau, and with which they welcome guests in their modest absorption center apartments. Chinese writing covers the map of the Middle East, and pictures are hung from their community back home.

USA Today – Nov 30, 2006
And when it came time for Miller to choose a college, he selected Houston partly so his parents would not have to travel far to see him play. “They’ve gone to all my home games since I was in high school. It didn’t matter if I was playing football, basketball, or track,” says Miller, a sophomore. and Debra Miller will be present for the Conference USA title game Friday night vs… and Debra Miller will be present for the Conference USA title game Friday night vs. Miller’s importance has grown in recent weeks as he has had had two tackles in that game but could have a more noticeable statistical impact Friday with the increased playing time he has received following injuries to starting strong safety Rocky Schwartz and Schwartz’s replacement, Joseph Gonzalez. Before the injuries, Miller was a staple of Houston’s dime and nickel defenses. “I wasn’t expecting the season to go down like this,” says Miller, (two interceptions, 52 tackles. “(Schwartz and Gonzalez) encouraged me not to worry about making mistakes or about making big plays. They said cut loose and just play.
