(From Fair Disclosure Wire) MARK MAY: Is it fair to say that the immediate benefits of some of those changes in terms of immediate revenue — would store be sort of the first place where you start to actually see it directly show up in the — on did the P&L? KEN MCBRIDE: Well, I think the — I would say don’t expect any of these benefits to really happen until probably the third quarter, realistically. But in terms of what — when you look at all the different business lines and the store, we’ve talked about in the past, is certainly an area where we feel that we’ve got some limitations in our existing technology. And we’ve talked in the past about moving off our home grown product. That’s really a win32 app that is based inside our current client. But moving off that home grown product onto more commercial software, which is the same commercial software we use to run the PhotoStamps site. So it’s really making our mailing and shipping supply store more like PhotoStamps and when you look at the existing store, it’s a tab-based win32 structure that you can only really display a very limited number of SKUs. There is no great search capability… And we’ve talked in the past about moving off our home grown product. That’s really a win32 app that is based inside our current client. There is no great search capability. There is no good cataloguing organization. So, we really don’t feel like adding more SKUs is going to really change sales a lot because of the limitations in that store, until we get to the new platform.
Anger Management NRO: Hillary Clinton’s ‘Angry’ Rap May…
CBS News – Feb 8, 2006
Don’t forget that, when she was First Lady, Hillary used to change the way she did her hair every 20 minutes or so. A new look for every presidential crisis, major or minor. Remember the hair band, the flip, the long-gone shoulder-sweeping curls? But ever since being elected senator from New York, she has stuck to her policy wonk “competency look” – dark pants suits, sweaters tied around her shoulders, chunky chokers, and sensible hair (sort of the look New York women lawyers were into about six years ago, around the time she was running for senator). But nobody much dresses like that anymore, and it makes her look dowdy even to her fanatical devotees in Manhattan – not to mention that nobody in the rest of the country ever dressed like that anyway. It makes her look like one of the defense attorneys in a corporate scandal trial. Yes – I know, I know – it’s unfair that women are judged on the way they get it together more than men are.
Homophobia invades the pitch
Guardian Unlimited – Feb 9, 2006
There was and is a great deal of hatred directed at Sol Campbell. The reason is simple. Sol was a home-grown lad who came through the ranks, captained the team and played for England. The fans adored him. Then he defected to our greatest rival. As such, the Judas bile directed towards him is hardly surprising. While undoubtedly unpleasant, it has nothing to do with race.

Born in Wow, Sudan, Deng’s family fled to London in 1994. Voted the second-best high-school player in the United States (having won a scholarship to the Blair Academy, New Jersey, in 2003), he was an ambassador for London’s 2012 bid. Then there is Joel Freeland of the Portland Trail Blazers, who is a role model for home-grown talent. Born in Farnham, Surrey, he was selected by Portland in the first round of the 2006 NBA draft, having begun his career at English Division Three side, Solent Stars. The following weekend posts another milestone. After an absence of 30 years, top-level basketball returns to Scottish soil, as the land of the thistle hosts Great Britain’s second game against Holland at the Meadowbank Sports Centre, Edinburgh.

But he added: “I still firmly believe our top four teams could compete in the NRL. ”
According to his brother, Fielden only hits top form when he is lining up against 13 men wearing either green and gold or black. But the Bulls ace is keen to ensure he remains both motivated and at the peak of his powers all year. “The same routine day-in, day-out for nine years could get mundane, so it’s important to have different things to make life more interesting,” he said.
