We sell home-decorating fabrics, upholstery, quilting, trims and do custom picture framing. We’ve been in the building 14 years and operating as a fabric store for about seven. How long have you lived in the Rogue Valley? I moved here in 1976 from Fortuna, Calif. I transferred here and managed Home Fabrics in what is now the WinCo center for 10 years. We’ve been in the building 14 years and operating as a fabric store for about seven. How long have you lived in the Rogue Valley? I moved here in 1976 from Fortuna, Calif. I transferred here and managed Home Fabrics in what is now the WinCo center for 10 years. What inspired you to go into this line of work? I started working in a fabric store when I was going to college and I never left. What decision or action would you change if you could do it again? I used to be in the clothing fabrics business and then we added crafts and I probably should’ve moved into what we do now earlier because of changes in the market. What’s the toughest business decision you’ve made? Probably when I went out of the clothing fabric business and into crafts, because it was something different. I feel better now that I’m back into fabric exclusively again.

The training mission that the chancellor referred to is an important part of helping the Iraqis defend themselves.

The makers of theBig Mac allegedly exacted revenge on Kerry Stokes’ network for itscoverage of the story by cancelling millions of dollars’ worth ofadvertising this week. Seven’s Today Tonight broke the story a couple of weeks ago onthe fast-food giant’s plans to ship potatoes from the land of thelong white cloud instead of using home-grown spuds. Sydney’s radio station 2UE, run by 3AW owner Southern CrossBroadcasting, also incurred the wrath of McDonald’s in the form oflost advertising after Alan Jones took a sledgehammer to thecompany on air. Although a Seven spokesman refused to shed light on the saga, one insider said: “Everyone says commercial television is not in aposition to tell the truth because of their sponsors. Here is aclassic case where you tell a story and you get punished forit. A McDonald’s spokeswoman insists the company “is stilladvertising with Seven” but was unable to say whether the amount itspends with the network had been substantially cut.
