Once companies have a global organisational structure in place, they must connect their units though integrative processes such as supply chain management and strategic planning; otherwise the autonomy that local managers gain can create costly disconnections among units and functions. The path from emerging markets to global ones is arduous. Companies must use talent and organisational savvy to translate their distinctive home-grown capabilities across countries and thus to achieve the size, the competitiveness, and the broad market presence required to succeed _ and endure _ in increasingly turbulent global markets. Emre cuts through the crowd to pile the pressure on Bruce

Owen has pronounced himself an adopted Geordie and already sounds capable of moonlighting for the Northumbria tourist board after extolling the virtues of his new life in the village of Ponteland, just north of Newcastle, which apparently compares extremely favourably to what the England striker describes as Madrid’s “concrete jungle”. Unfortunately, yesterday’s horribly congested midfield proved something of a jungle, dictating that scoring opportunities almost all derived from dead balls. While the lively Emre and Nolberto Solano both went close from free kicks, Charles N’Zogbia saw a shot blocked after connecting with a cross from another impressive youngster, home-grown right back Peter Ramage, who also caught the eye while thoroughly cramping Stan Lazaridis’s style. Across at left back Celestine Babayaro was being given an easy ride by Jermaine Pennant, Bruce’s right winger, who, perhaps surprisingly, started after landing himself in trouble after apparently turning up drunk for training. Although Jarosik bent a long range shot against the woodwork, Emre did rather better from distance when, with Owen frustrated by the mass of bodies barricading the penalty area, he finally laid the ball off to Babayaro. He tapped it on to substitute Shola Ameobi who, with attacking options still seemingly restricted, passed further back to the deep-lying Turk who, with Taylor unsighted, did the rest.

Adding a deck is considered one of the most functional, financially feasible and prettiest investments a homeowner can make these days, and choices of deck materials have increased. "It is absolutely a growing trend that has grown in popularity the last few years," said A. Lomax, who owns a Berlin, Conn. , franchise of Archadeck, which specializes in custom decks, porches and sunrooms. "People are staying put in their homes because it has become too expensive to replace what they have.
