Jamaica Observer – Mar 20, 2005
(Photo: Joseph Wellington)Before many of his fans, well-wishers and friends, “Brother Dee” as Pinkney is also known, said he was humbled to launch his fourth CD and encouraged young musicians and entertainers to remain true and clean with their profession. “It has been a long haul for me and I can say that I am respectful and truly humbled at the fact that I have been able to make a living in a profession that I truly enjoy and love. I respect the music, the people in the music and that is why I believe I have been able to gather the success that I have,” Pinkney said. Grub Cooper, arranger and musical director for Fab Five, who gave details on the CD project, and in particular tracks he worked on said the choice of material on Home Grown Jamaican was not by accident. Cooper stated that, “It was really a pleasure working on the album with Dwight and the choice of material was not by accident. Dwight used a formula because there is pressure not to be boring on an instrumental record. Dwight would record the same track exactly like the original and then “layer it with his musical stylings…
Special guest speaker at the function, radio talk show host and musicologist Tony Laing praised Pinkney for his humility, his efforts at being a strong role model for others within and outside of the music industry. “I respect what you have done. Thou truly art a Jamaican Home Grown brother; and it is therefore with love, humility and respect, we officially launch the CD Home Grown Jamaican,” Laing said. Laing who also stated that he had strong admiration not only for Pinkney’s musical talents but also for the role he plays as a mentor to other artistes in the business. “Brother Dee represents all that is good about Jamaican music and he reinforces Jamaica’s national name and reputation as a music mainstay in the world,” Laing said. The special show starts at 7:00 pm.
Environmentally Friendly Fuels
Wired News – Mar 20, 2005
But there aren’t many biofuel stations out there for the average consumer. In the United States, the two most common types of biofuels are bioethanol and biodiesel. Aside from being cleaner, they may also prove cheaper, especially since they can be home-grown, decreasing dependence on foreign oil imports. Bioethanol: Ethanol is the most widely used biofuel today. 5 billion gallons are added to gasoline in the United States each year to improve vehicle performance and reduce air pollution. Ethanol is an alcohol, and most of it is made using a process similar to brewing beer.
Wales staggering in glorious win
Telegraph.co.uk – Mar 20, 2005
The scenes at the end were remarkable. I thought it would have been impossible to squeeze more emotion out of a colossal sporting event after Charlotte Church, Katherine Jenkins and Max Boyce had worked their magic at the beginning. But the end was all about home-grown fans, not professional singers. As Ireland attacked in the final few minutes with the game beyond them, the hymn Bread of Heaven rang around the stadium and the images on the big screen were of supporters clutching the badge of their Welsh replica shirts with pride. The fireworks which accompanied the presentation of the Six Nations trophy were almost lost in the din. That possibly could have been down to the fact that Wales had unleashed most of their fireworks on the pitch. They started quietly when Anthony Foley drove back at them from the kick-off and Ronan O’Gara threaded a skilful kick deep into their territory but thereafter Wales had all the control and all the answers.

So that makesreading it a lot easier for non-Chinese speaking folk. A REPORT ON a Chinese web site seems to indicate that the mighty Dell is way behind home grown firms likeLenovo, and even bit players like Founder and Tongfang, on the mainland. China is a nation of many people, and according to this page.
