“I have a chance to battle it, and I’m trying hard to battle it,” says the Gibsonville native who will soon turn 63. She’ll return home this week as her Wolfpack women try to win a fifth ACC tournament title. The tournament begins Friday at the Greensboro Coliseum. Her father, Hilton, will be there, wrapped in Wolfpack red. Her mother, Lib, won’t be. She died of cancer in 1993.
