UEFA will eventually insist on eight players in a 25-man squad being home-grown – four trained within a club’s academy and four within the same national association – as part of an effort to limit the influence of foreigners. European football’s ruling body will also press ahead with plans for the measure to be adopted in domestic competitions – though that has yet to be agreed by the national associations. UEFA chief executive Lars-Christer Olsson said: “We think this is a reasonable compromise based on all the consultations we have had. “Although we have had negative responses from some leagues and some bigger clubs in those leagues, all the others involved have been very supportive of this idea. “We also think the proposal is legal, because it is a sporting rule, not as a restriction, to develop and promote young players.

What do you do and how long have you been doing it? This is a gift shop with a country theme. I opened it in 1999 in Sams Valley. I liked the name Daisy Mae from Li’l Abner. It was about as country as you could get, but I didn’t want to mess around with the trademark.

Review for Green Lemon: Green Lemon kicked off its 2005 tour a few weeks ago and hit the road dripping with success having just been named the New Home Grown Band of the Year by Leeways Home Grown Music Network and being listed as One of the Top Bands to See Live in 2005 by Jambase. The Green Lemon band regularly tours across the country and they played 14 national festivals during the spring and summer of 2004. This first tour leg of 2005 will take them through Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina and North Carolina.
